Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. What was Lauren using when attacked?

Answer: ATM machine

She was depositing her paycheck and was attacked by the Iranian terrorists. Scully and Mulder later used the ATM surveillance video to track her down.
2. Scully and Mulder were called into a Bethesda hospital to look at two bodies of the Iranian terrorists. What parts of the bodies were crushed?

Answer: throats

The local medical examiner noted that the throats appeared to have been crushed "from the inside" because the necks showed no signs of damage.
3. Did Mulder tell the nameless agents that he'd seen that sort of thing before?

Answer: no

In the hallway on the way out, Scully called him on it, saying she could tell he'd lied and had seen it before. He countered, "I would never lie. I willfully participated in a campaign of misinformation."
4. What movie did Scully refer to after Mulder suggested psychokinesis as the cause of death?

Answer: Carrie

Barely suppressing laughter, Scully questioned, "Psychokinesis? You mean how Carrie got even at the prom?"
5. What did Mulder use to lift the fingerprints?

Answer: glasses

Scully allowed him to talk her into investigating the deaths on their own, but wondered, "how can we investigate? We have nothing to go on." Mulder put his arm around her shoulder, held up the glasses, and blew on them, revealing a pair of fingerprints.
6. After meeting with Lauren for the first time, Scully and Mulder's car was taken over by an inextricable power and driven into an accident. What did they hit?

Answer: another car

The car locked itself and sped backward into an intersection, where it hit another car. Mechanics later told Mulder that the car was in perfect order, but Mulder noted that the headlights were glowing, though not turned on, as though from an excess electrical charge.
7. Where did Sarah Lynn Graves die?

Answer: swimming pool

Her father, Howard Graves, forgot to latch the gate to the pool and she drowned. Had she lived, she would have been the same age as Lauren, making the father-daughter relationship between Howard and Lauren even stronger.
8. Scully hypothesized that Howard Graves had faked his own death. Mulder countered that it was very hard to fake one's own death. Who did he say was the only person to have ever succeeded at doing so?

Answer: Elvis

It's not all that surprising that Mulder would entertain the possibility of Elvis having faked his death and still being alive. He is, after all, a pretty kooky guy!
9. Lauren killed the people Mr. Dorland sent to kill her.

Answer: false

She watched, terrified, as Howard Graves' spirit protected her. Mulder burst into the house just in time to see the man's throat crushed.
10. What was the evidence against Mr. Dorland in the form of?

Answer: computer disk

After Mr. Dorland grabbed Lauren, Graves' spirit closed the office door and was about to kill Dorland. Lauren pleaded with him to help them find the evidence instead, so the spirit ripped open the wall lining with a letter opener, revealing a computer disk.
