Answer: Janet Eldridge

Janet Eldridge was played by Kate Mulgrew. Mulgrew played Mrs. Columbo on a spin-off series of the same name in 1979.

Sam was hitting on her during her press conference and she showed no interest in him. However, after she left, the man that was with her gave Sam the number, saying she wanted Sam to call her.

Wim was a play on words of the real word Win because the politician's name was Jim. Jim Fleener was played by Max Wright who is probably best known for playing Willie Tanner on "Alf".
