1. Who is the first animal to appear in episode one, "The Wood In Danger"?

Answer: Toad

Toad is first seen trying to get back to his Farthing Wood home. Unfortunately he is then buried alive by a digger.

2. When and where do the animals gather to begin their great journey?

Answer: The Great Beech at midnight

As quoted by their leader, Fox, "We meet at the Great Beech at midnight." Their everlasting trek then began.

3. In the big video number 1 ('The Journey Begins'), what scene from the little video "The Journey Begins" (No. 2) did it miss out?

Answer: The swimming pool

For some reason the swimming pool scene was missed out. This upset many dedicated 'AOFW' fans.

4. How many animals are close to death on the small country road?

Answer: Two

Both Adder and Toad were almost ran over on separate occasions. Adder made it to the other side with help from Badger, and Toad curled up exhausted in front of a lorry. The lorry did however stop and the driver got out to see if Toad was all right. The animals took it in the wrong way and Owl started attacking him while Fox helped Toad across.

5. Which animals decided to stay behind and discontinue the journey in episode three, "Through Fire and Water"?

Answer: The Newts

It was supposed that the Newts then went on to die in the large fire. Their fate was not revealed.

6. What started the fire?

Answer: A cigarette

A person dropped the cigarette out of their car window, and the fire spread dramatically (because the drought made everything extremely dry and very easy to catch fire).

7. Where do the animals shelter in the first storm?

Answer: A storehouse

They are resting in a farm storehouse when the farmer's wife shuts the door on them. Mole has to dig them out.

Answer: Mrs Pheasant

Mrs Pheasant was shot by the farmer when she wandered in front of him. Her husband was killed by the same farmer the episode after.

Pheasant volunteered to go back to the farm when Badger realised they'd left Adder behind. Pheasant wanted to know the truth about his wife but started making a speech about it and loving his moment in the spotlight. He was then shot.

The rabbits panicked and started to get into trouble. After Fox had rescued them he was exhausted. Badger went back to help him but they were hit by a massive pile of debris and carried downstream.

However, no one died in this episode. There were deaths in almost all the other ones though.

12. What was the 'happy event' in episode 6?

Answer: Babies

Mrs Fieldmouse was pregnant, and then gave birth. When Hedgehog gave Badger the news, he referred to it as a 'happy event'. Hare then gets annoyed when Badger fails to understand the meaning of it.

13. Fox meets Vixen in episode 7 "New Friends, Old Enemies".

Answer: False

Fox meets an ex-hunting horse, but meets Vixen in the episode after.

14. What happened when Adder tried to hypnotise the young mice?

Answer: She fell asleep

While trying to get the baby field mice to fall asleep, she instead fell asleep. Serves her right for bullying little baby mice.

15. Who saves Vixen from the huntmaster and his horse?

Answer: Adder

When the huntmaster was about to strike, Adder got there first. She bit the horse on the front leg. It then reared backwards and fell on top of its master.
