This Ted Corday, and Irna Phillips production Premiered in 1965. It's original focus was on a doctor and his family in the small midwestern town of "Salem".
2. Chain aural hops petal

Answer: General Hospital

The creators were Frank and Doris Hursley, who formerly wrote "Search For Tomorrow". It premiered on April 1, 1963. Another hospital drama, called "The Doctors" began on the same day; but was cancelled in 1982.

This Agnes Nixon creation first aired on January 5, 1970. Nixon's saga is based on what she calls her "bible" on the theme of the brotherhood of man. The first page of its presentation reads: "The great and the least, the weak and the strong, in joy and sorrow, in hope and fear, in tragedy and triumph, you are all my children". With its elaborate style of lighting, and innovative camera angles, "The Young And The Restless" created a sense of romanticism that influenced the overall production of soaps.
6. Won leaf two lift

Answer: One Life To Live

This show; created by Agnes Nixon, opened its doors on July 15, 1968. Its initial premise dealt with many timely social concerns, such as drugs, sexual freedom, and racial issues.

Answer: The Bold And The Beautiful

This was William J. and Lee Phillip Bell's second soap. It began production on March 23, 1987. It was geared to attract an international, as well as an American audience; and has been well received in over ninety countries.

This show was originally written and created for radio in 1937, by Irna Phillips. Though it premiered on television in 1952, it continued to be heard on radio as well until 1956.
9. Porch earls

Answer: Port Charles

This "General Hospital" spin off aired for the last time on network television on October 3, 2003. It returned, however, on December 29, 2003 in reruns on a cable network.
10. Aster whirled churns

Answer: As The World Turns

This show debuted in April of 1956. It was jointly created by Ted Corday, Irna Phillips, and Agnes Nixon. It was an instant hit, and the first soap opera to expand to thirty minutes, in an era of fifteen minute soaps. "As The World Turns" has enjoyed a long, successful run on daytime television.
