Answer: Summer has finally arrived.

The Wildcats sing a song called "What Time Is It" in the beginning of the movie because they are so happy that it is finally summertime. Troy is happy because he wants to hang out with Gabriella every day. Sharpay and Ryan are happy because they have hundreds of adoring fans who want their yearbooks signed. Taylor and Chad are happy because they can't wait to hang out by the pool, play sports, and have a great time.

Answer: A necklace with a T on it

Troy gives Gabriella a silver necklace with the letter T for Troy on it. Gabriella loves it right away. Every year Gabriella has had to move away, but this time she's actually staying. Gabriella is glad that Troy really cares about her.

Answer: Lava Springs

Troy gets offered a job at Lava Springs by Mr. Fulton. He doesn't know that he was only hired because the scheming Sharpay owns the club and wants Gabriella out of the picture so she can date Troy instead. Sharpay doesn't find out until later that everyone from East High was hired on Troy's recommendation.

Answer: Gabriella works at her country club.

Sharpay is extremely angry when she finds out that Mr. Fulton hired more than just Troy. He hired everyone from Sharpay's school, East High, including Troy's girlfriend Gabriella! Sharpay is only angry because her plot was to steal Troy away from Gabriella. But, she quickly thinks up another scheme.

Answer: They are trying to make the best out of their summer jobs.

The Wildcats thought it would be a blast to work at Lava Springs...at first. Then Sharpay, angry, told Mr. Fulton that he had to make everyone want to quit their jobs. So Mr. Fulton assigns everybody boring jobs and everyone wants to quit. However, Troy sings that they should try to "Work This Out" and have fun.

After all, after they're done they'll have enough money to do whatever they want. Martha can go to the mall, Jason can film movies, Zeke can go to basketball games, Kelsi can make music, Chad can buy a car, Taylor can relax, and Troy and Gabriella can go on dates.

Answer: He's telling Ryan that he doesn't want to do the talent show.

Chad goes to the staff baseball game and invites Ryan along. Ryan says that Chad should do the talent show, but he says that he doesn't dance. This starts a singing battle between Ryan and Chad during the baseball game. Chad says that he can't dance, and Ryan says that if he can play baseball he should be able to dance too, because they're essentially similar.

Answer: Kelsi

Kelsi, a talented pianist, wrote a song called "You are the Music in Me" for Troy and Vanessa. Sharpay is jealous and tells Kelsi to speed up the song to a showtune pace so she can perform it with Troy in the club's talent show. Troy insists that Sharpay doesn't go overboard during rehearsal, but Sharpay dazzles up the song with back-up singers, piano solos, and even a fireworks show!

Sharpay was planning on performing the talent show with Ryan originally, but changed her mind because she likes Troy more. She tricked Troy into performing with her in the show originally. She made him promise-in front of her parents- that he would sing with her sometime soon, and then used it against him. Ryan is dejected because he thought he and Sharpay were singing a tiki song called 'Humuhumunukunukuapua'a'.

Troy and Gabriella break up because Gabriella doesn't understand Troy. She doesn't get why it seems like he likes Sharpay instead of her, and why he keeps blowing off the Wildcats. She gives him back the necklace that says T on it. However, during the talent show, Troy sings with Gabriella a song called "Everyday". After the show the two make up and kiss under the stars.

Answer: Miley Cyrus

Miley Cyrus makes a cameo at the very end of the movie. She is one of the girls dancing by the pool in "All For One", a song sang by the staff. Everyone is happy at the end of the movie because they are all friends and they have the rest of the summer ahead of them.
