1. In episode one - "Happy Returns" - Rodney is going out with Debby, who works in the newsagent. How old is Debby going to be on her birthday?

Answer: 19

Del used to go out with Debby's Mum, Junie, nineteen years ago. Del thinks that Debby is his daughter so he discourages Rodney's friendship with Debby. It is later revealed that Debby's father was Albie Littlewood, Del's best friend. But Del was also seeing Albie Littlewood's girlfriend, Deirdre, at the same time. Albie was killed when he was taking a short cut across the railway line.

He was coming to see Junie, Del believed Albie was coming to meet him in the pub.
2. In episode two - "Strained Relations" - what was Uncle Albert's wife called?

Answer: Ada

Leonard Pearce, who played Grandad in "Only Fools and Horses", died during the making of series four. This episode show Grandad's funeral. We are introduced to Uncle Albert, who is Grandad's brother. He comes to the funeral with Del's cousin (Stan) and his wife (Jean), who he has been staying with. Del doesn't seem concerned about Grandad's death, but he is putting on a brave face Uncle Albert was in the Royal Merchant Navy. Del sends Uncle Albert to the Seaman's Mission home when Stan and Jean leave him at Nelson Mandela House.

In the end, Uncle Albert comes to stay with Del and Rodney.
3. In episode three - "Hole In One" - what has Rodney brought for him and Del to sell?

Answer: Sun tan lotion

Del can't believe that Rodney has brought sun tan lotion when it is the middle of winter. Uncle Albert falls down into the cellar of The Nag's Head. Del immediately contacts a solicitor; he is going to take Mike, the owner of The Nag's Head, to court.

They nearly succeed in the claim until it is revealed that Uncle Albert has done the same stunt 15 times before. Uncle Albert admits he was using some of the tricks he learnt as a stuntman to try and help Del and Rodney pay for Grandad's headstone.
4. In episode four - "It's Only Rock and Roll" - how many people are in the band, which Rodney joins?

Rodney has joined a band called "A Bunch of Wallies"; Del is the manager. Del gets the band instruments and gets them a gig at The Shamrock Club. There is a punch up. It turns out that Del had the instruments on sale or return, and he'd taken them back because their band was so bad. When Rodney leaves the band, "A Bunch of Wallies" gets to number 26 on "Top of the Pops".

Del and Rodney look after Dukie, a Great Dane, for £60 a week. Marlene and Boycie are going on holiday to the Seychelles. Marlene provides the best food for Dukie but Del feeds him Pedigree Chum. Duke is taken ill. Del and Rodney think that the dog may have eaten some reheated pork leftovers for breakfast, and the vet quickly informs them that Duke has probably caught salmonella.

It is revealed that Dukie is ill after being fed Uncle Albert's sleeping tablets rather than his vitamin pills.

Del feels sorry for his brother and sets up a date for Rodney, one of his old flames. When Rodney gets home from The Nag's Head on Saturday night he's in tears. Apparently, the date went well, until halfway through the evening when Yvonne takes centre stage in the pub and begins her act as a stripper - in front of all of Rodney's mates. The bet is for 50p, and not for £50 as Del thinks.

Del agrees to provide painter and decorator Brendan O'Shaughnessy with enough louvre doors to refit an entire housing estate in Nunhead. Del's supplier, Teddy Cummings, only stocks and supplies in bulk, so it's up to the Trotters to find two grand (£2,000) by the next day or there's no chance of getting the doors. Rodney points out an article in a newspaper.

There is a rare butterfly which has been seen in London, and a private butterfly collector is willing to pay £3,000 for it.

Denzil had provided the money for the doors out of his redundancy money, Del promises to pay him back. Rodney, Del and Uncle Albert are at the cemetery. Rodney sees the rare butterfly. They run all around a park, pursuing it. Rodney manages to catch it and gives it to Del. They will get £3,000 for it. Denzil walks by and gives Del a high five, squashing the butterfly.

Uncle Albert is chatting to Ruby in The Nag's Head. She says that her son is one of the top policemen now. Boycie persuades Del and Rodney to take some diamonds to Amsterdam Just a simple courier job says Boycie but it doesn't go completely to plan. Boycie offers him a £15,000 cut of the estimated £150,000 sale of the stones on the UK market. Del finds himself designated as the courier between Holland and Britain.

Chief Inspector Slater is eyeing Boycie and Abdul as drug dealers. Del decides to hide undetected in the back of Denzil's van. Denzil then getting in and driving them to Hull (pursued by Rodney) was not part of the plan. Thinking quickly, they hire a boat, and let Uncle Albert guide them to Amsterdam.
Slater is involved in the diamond smuggling racket and is arrested at the end of the episode. Hoskins manages to get Slater to admit everything and records him. Boycie gives Del £15, 000 for taking the diamonds to Amsterdam. But Del thinks the money is fake and throws it out of the window.
