This revelation turns their relationship sour, and Cox 'proposes' to Jordan, asking her to divorce him. Ted performs the 'ceremony', and concludes it by saying "and so, by the power vested in me by the American Bar Association, I pronounce you ex-husband and ex-wife. You may now do whatever the hell you want!"

In a bizarre set of events, JD rushes through town trying to get to Molly before she goes. Aming other things, his phone is stolen by a coyote and he falls in a large pile of garbage. As it turns out, Elliot had sabotaged him as revenge for their bad break-up, by not giving him 'permission' to go through with the act as Molly requested.
