Karen Travers was imprisoned for killing her husband. Lyn Warner was (falsely) imprisoned for burying a baby alive.

Anne took over after Erica resigned as governor of Wentworth.

Vera was deputy governor until Jim Fletcher's arrival.

Franky was shot dead in episode 20. Actress Carol Burns asked to be written out of the show due to the fact that she felt she could not deliver a good quality performance because of the increased production load.

Lyn got work release at her dad's friend's (Sid Butterfield's) nursery though this ended when Lyn had a relationship with Sid's son Jeffrey.
