Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. In the first episode, which vehicle was used to escape?

Answer: Helicopter

There was quite a lot of running about but this was the only real attempt at escape in the episode.
2. What cover did the Prisoner have for carving out a boat?

Answer: It was a work of art

Although it was converted, the boat was part of a work of art. This was in the episode "The Chimes of Big Ben".
3. Which programme involved creating a radio signal which would be picked up by a ship?

Answer: Checkmate

The boat which picked up the message turned out is was one of Number Two's boats.
4. What happened to the crate?

Answer: It ended up back at the village

It never went anywhere near Whitehall, despite a subterfuge that it did. This was also in "The Chimes of Big Ben".
5. What programme involved constantly returning to the Village?

Answer: Many Happy Returns

This was the main plotline of the show. As the village was empty I don't think escape would be the right word for leaving.
6. Which one of these shows didn't feature an escape?

Answer: "A B and C"

The other escapes are mentioned elsewhere in this quiz. "A, B and C" was to do with dreams to find out why Number 6 resigned.
7. In "It's Your Funeral" what does the old Number 2 take with him to guarantee his escape?

Answer: A detonator

The detonator was meant to blow him up but when old Number 2 left the bomb was round new Number 2's neck (in the form of the Great Seal).
8. Simple one. What is the name of the bubble that prevents people escaping?

Answer: Rover

I think it's a weather balloon really.
9. Why was the village abadoned at the end of 'Fallout'?

Answer: Nuclear attack

Number 6 pressed the button. Number 1 was indeed destroyed but I don't think this is why people left. The villagers escaped using helicopters and boats.
10. How did the Prisoner finally escape?

Answer: By lorry

The lorry was a cage which had a living quarters inside. The episode was "Fall-Out".
