1. The game takes place in what year?

This game is a prequel, taking place three years before "Perfect Dark". It involves Joanna's early adventures and how she got started with the Carrington Institute.

2. Which of these guns, that was in "Perfect Dark", makes a glorious comeback in "Perfect Dark Zero"?

Answer: Laptop Gun

There are more guns that make a comeback too. The Fac-16, Hawk Boomerang, and Viblade are all new weapons to the series, among others. However, Rare did not include all "Perfect Dark" weapons since the plot didn't enable it yet.

3. Jonathan's last name is Dark.

Answer: False

It is Steingburg. In the first "Perfect Dark", Rare wanted to make Jonathan Joanna's brother, but for some reason decided not to. I found this out on the "Perfect Dark Zero" official site.

4. Mission 0 (the first one) is a hologram.

Answer: True

Yup. The first mission seems real at first, but it turns out that Jo was playing a hologram. She was actually in a training session with her father and Chandra, their aid.

5. What is the motto of dataDyne?

Answer: Your life, Our hands

I am not sure why, but RareWare chose this whereas it was never mentioned in the first "Perfect Dark". It does, however, point out that dataDyne Corporation is intent on domination.

6. Before her work with the Carrington Institute, Joanna was a bounty hunter with her father. What was their operation called?

Answer: Dark Bail Bonds

Joanna, her father, and Chandra (another early game member) are part of the Dark Bail Bonds, before Joanna gets introduced to the Carrington Institute. None of them, however, are agents of any sort. They are only bounty hunters. That part of the game comes later.

7. Joanna does not have a tattoo.

Answer: False

She has a tattoo of a star on her neck. It is visible during the opening menu, where there is a clear star on her right side of her neck. Also, on the cover of the box you can view it too.

8. What is the name of Joanna's father?

Answer: Jack Dark

He dies, however, early on in the game. He is her only remaining parent and in no way related to Jonathan 'Dark' of the first "Perfect Dark".

9. Joanna is 20 years old.

Answer: True

She was born in 2000, so therefore she is 20 since the game is in 2020. She does undergo massive changes in the three years before until "Perfect Dark", such as her accent and hairstyle.

10. Which one of these is not a real game vehicle that you can drive?

Answer: Hover Car

You can drive vehicles in the game. The Jetpac and Hovercraft are the only ones, however, and you cannot drive Hover Cars although they are seen throughout the game.
