Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Who did Mystique pose as in the beginning of the game?

Answer: Cyclops

Both the X-Men and the Brotherhood tried to reach a powerful young mutant named Alison Crestmere. Blob reached her first, however. Right at the beginning Wolverine had to follow Blob's footprints to find her. Beforehand, Mystique posed as Cyclops to try and stop Wolverine from reaching Blob.
2. Who almost destroyed the Danger Room?

Answer: Magma

During a routine Danger Room session, the safety protocol shut down. Alison, also known as Magma (Wolverine called her Pebbles), was surrounded by the robots in the room. She unwillingly let off enormous waves of her uncontrolled power and let off a huge blast. Professor X forgave her and Beast told her he was happy it had happened, as it gave him a chance to replace the "protonic inducers" and realign the "holographic image projectors."
3. Why did the Morlocks capture Gambit?

Answer: They caught him spying

The team had to venture into the sewers to save Gambit from Marrow and her Morlocks. Marrow caught Gambit spying and placed him in a cage. He explained that he heard a rumor that the Brotherhood was talking to the underground mutants. While in the sewers, the X-Men met the Morlock Healer, who sold energy and health packs.
4. What was the point of the Brotherhood attacking the U.S.S. Arbiter?

Answer: They freed Magneto

The X-Men's mission was to free the crewmen trapped on the sinking vessel. Jean Grey used her telekinetic powers to make repairs and give them some time. Meanwhile, the Brotherhood stormed the lower levels to free Magneto. Mystique used her shifting abilities to use General Kincaid's fingerprints to stop the machine holding her leader at bay.

Afterward, Magneto took over a news report and claimed that mutants were not Homo-Sapiens, but "Homo-Superiors."
5. Why did the Shadow King kidnap Illyana?

Answer: To get to Xavier

Professor Xavier, Emma Frost, and Jean Grey had to travel to the Astral Plane to save Illyana, Colossus' sister. She was in a coma for no medical reason. The X-Men finally realized that her mind was stuck in the dream-like Astral Plane. "Someone" suggested to the Shadow King that stealing the girl would get Xavier into his world, and it worked.

The large King wanted revenge on the telepath.
6. Who attacked the facility on Muir Island?

Answer: Juggernaut

Things got chaotic when Magneto partially blocked out the sun. That didn't stop Juggernaut from rampaging around the facility on Muir Island. He wanted to defeat Forge, but Forge kept transporting away. After losing consciousness and being placed in a cell, Juggernaut admitted he had been hired to destroy the Astral Gate.
7. Which of the following was not needed to save Professor X from the Astral Plane?

Answer: Courage

The X-Men traveled into the Astral Plane thanks to Beast, who created a way for non-telepaths to enter. They needed to find three pieces of Professor Xavier's mind: Wisdom, Honor, and Justice. The X-Men had to battle three "dark" enemies, which included Dark Blob, Dark Pyro, and Dark Avalanche to obtain the pieces. With the three pieces placed on an altar before the great portal, the X-Men grew closer to saving Xavier.
8. Which of the following is not true about Xavier's fight with Shadow King?

Answer: Shadow King could fly

The X-Men ventured to the Astral Plane for the third time. After he was freed from his restraints, Xavier warned Shadow King that he was a force to be reckoned with. Shadow King claimed Xavier's powers were childlike compared to his own. They fought a grand battle, both giant and wearing armor. Oddly enough, flight was not permitted while in the Astral Plane.
9. Which mutant was not part of one of the final fights?

Answer: Toad

Mystique finally admitted to the X-Men that she wanted Alison/Magma as a backup in Magneto's asteroid plan. The X-Men used the X-Jet to travel to Asteroid M for the final fight. Magneto had Sabretooth and Mystique to fight alongside him. Before the fight, he told them he wished they could have joined his cause.
10. While exploring the X-Mansion was interesting, it was technically never an integral part of the game.

Answer: False

Oftentimes, as Magma, the Objectives asked that the X-Mansion be explored. She needed to seek out specific X-Men to gain information. For example, talking to Nightcrawler unlocked a memory of his fighting against Sentinels. Also, there was a trivia game Magma could play to earn experience and sketch books that offered boosts to specific mutants only when they were viewed in the library.
