It is an old myth that a person who has cold hands must be "warm-hearted" or a generous, good person. The actual fact is that your physical warmth has nothing to do with your interior personality.
The expression has been used since the early 1900's, origin not really known. The expression exists in English but is also know in German as Kalte Hand, Warmez Herz

"The saying, "Cold hands, warm heart," appears to originate at the start of the 20th century. Legend has it that it comes from Bristol England. It was first written down in 1903 by V.S. Lean in 'Collectanea."

It is thought to be a loaned phrase from the French, and as a French phrase it is documented by 1710,
