"Typically, to "break the game" means to come up with a strategy or tactic so powerful that it can't be countered. For example, if you are playing a card game, and you find a combination of cards that give you a winning score in one turn, you've broken the game (because there's no point playing the game any more- victory simply goes to whoever gets that combo first). "Gamebreaking" is something that is that powerful."
