The Farmer's Walk is an exercise where the athlete carries weights in each hand and walks a predetermined distance. The exercise is remarkably good at targeting most major muscle groups.

The Farmer's Walk has become a challenge in some of the Highland games. In the following example, the competitor carries 202-pound weights in each hand and tries to walk for 100 meters.
