How many living megafauna (animals over 100 lbs / 45kg) were discovered in the 20th century? I am looking for original megafauna, not subspecies. An example of this would be the okapi (original) and the Mountain Gorilla (not original/subspecies). I will ask two corollaries in following posts as if I ask them here the answer may get too crowded.
