I'd have to say...Ray Romano. He's hilarious. His stand-up is really funny, if you haven't seen it, you should check it out! Reply #1. Dec 14 04, 9:49 PM |

My favorite celebrity would have to be Jimmy fallon and Johnny Depp. Jimmy Falon is hilariously cute and I think Johnny Depp is a good actor. Reply #5. Jan 17 05, 3:59 PM |

I wasn't aware that Reba McIntire (don't think I spelled it right either) was a comedienne. Anyway, the funniest guys in my opinion are the fat dead guys like John Belushi, John Candy, and especially Chris Farley. Jim Carrey is hilarious too, as is Seinfeld. I also like Will Ferrell, Norm McDonald (so under-rated) and Adam Sandler. SNL sure has produced a lot of funny people. Reply #10. Jul 24 05, 11:15 PM |

I should mention Ellen Degeneres. She really creeped me out with the whole lesbian thing on her sit-com but I recently saw her talk show and she is a genuinely funny person with a very quick wit. I can tell she doesn't have to rely too heavily on writers. David Letterman also is very funny. Obviously he has writers for his show but like Ellen, he can be very funny on his own. Also, Conan O'Brien. I used to despise his show but somehow, about 3 years ago, he seemed to get a whole lot funnier. Reply #11. Jul 24 05, 11:36 PM |

Love that you added the cable guy in there icy92! John Cleese is probably my favourite (despite his best works such as Fawlty Towers being filmed when my parents were children themselves), Jim Carrey is also brilliant, i just look at him and laugh, he looks such a funny guy, Ray Romano is also pretty good and so is Joan Rivers (anyone see her on ITV1 the other week? brilliant!) there are so many i really couldn't name them all and to be honest can't relaly think of any at the moment either! Andrew Dice Clay. I know...disgusting and a bit low brow but a lot of it was true. He's a really good actor as well. Too bad people could never get past his reputation as the gross potty-mouth guy in the leather jacket. Reply #16. Feb 17 06, 3:05 PM |

Does anyone remember Jerry Lewis? I have to say he's one of the funniest of all time! As far as modern-day comedians go, I'd have to say Jim Carey (sp?) and Steve Martin are the best. Reply #17. Mar 09 06, 3:02 PM |

Billy Connolly, for me, is a comic genious. When he spins a tale, he sets the scene and you can imagine all the people or animals he is talking about. The one about the dinner party was brilliant. This guy kept saying "I know you" in a very posh voice. Also the one about the lionesses hunting the wildebeeste. "Agnes you go round that way" "Betty you go round that way" The daft wildebeeste saying "Oh is that a lion, I've never seen a lion before" and Billy shouting at the telly "run you stupid animal" or words to that affect. For me, Robin Williams, Billy Connelly, Carl Barron, Ellen Degeneres, Hugh Laurie, Stephen Fry and Hugh Grant have unique and true talent. Here in Aus, we also have these two guys called 'The Umbilical Brothers' who are almost mime artists, but make noises to match what they mime. Quite brilliant! I love a good laugh and I think a lot of so called comedians are pretty passe or highly overrated. Reply #19. Mar 11 06, 5:19 PM |
