Subject: Fun Facts From A To Z!

Posted by: VBookWorm
Date: Jan 19 23

How it works:

I will come up with fun fact starting with A. For example: Adrien Brody holds the record for being the youngest actor to win the Oscar.

Then one that starts with B:

Bees make honey (rather a boring fact but just for an example.)

And the a fact starting with C, then D, and so on.

Start with A and end with Z!

Hans Christian Andersen (it's that man again) was an early guest at Charles Dickens's newly-purchased second home, a mansion in rural Kent called Gad's Hill, where Dickens and his growing family could escape from the stresses of London when they needed to. Andersen had arranged to come for two weeks but stayed for five, and he was apparently a very annoying guest with all kinds of peculiar habits, whose eventual departure was greeted with a heartfelt sigh of relief by the whole family.

Yurts are a type of round home found in Central Asia, especially Mongolia. A yurt may house anywhere from eight to 15 people. These tent-like structures take a comparatively short time to erect or disassemble and are commonly used by nomadic peoples.

Yurts have been around for thousands of years. Herodotus (the Greek historian) wrote about the yurt in the fifth century BCE.
