What badges are you currently working on?
Me? Right now it's many mini-badges like Cats, Love Trivially and 24 Hours of People.

Thanks for posting the topic George. At the moment I'm looking forward to tomorrow when I will get My Mind Melted and the 80 Day Bus Trip badges and touchwood the POG Sunday badgelet, never thought I stood a chance of that one, took my time thinking about what to answer also doesn't help have an arthritis flare-up in my hands, it's painful even when not typing, making plenty of typos as fingers are so swollen they hit the keys next to the ones i want to hit. Got an outside chance at Fill Me In monthly, only really started playing for it seriously halfway through the month, if I miss it this month I'll go for it next month. Wrapped up Fun Facts this week...next up are the monthly badges for Word Wizard and Who Am I. In Who Am I, I've climbed the ranks and am about 5th or 6th for the month in whozits. In Word Wizard, I've rallied from #49-51 this weekend to #26 last night. I'm still a few spots behind the 10th person eligible for the badge, so it'll take a fierce rally today and tomorrow. And this might sound silly (I'm at level 80 right now), but I still need the Country badge. Several times I've gotten 10/10 in the first three countries but missed a question or 2 in the last country. Robert, that doesn't sound silly at all. It's a tough badge. :-) I will be getting a monthly badge on the 1st, excited about that, and I should be getting the Whozit Collector, Mind Melt collector, and Pot of Gold Hoarder by next month. I'm currently at 3600 on two of them, and 4,000 on one of them, somewhere in there. Shouldn't be long. I have about a month left of bus ride left... Not sure if I'll get it too soon. Reply #4. Robert, there is no specific number, but there is something mysterious about the badge... Everybody wins it the night they had hit 100 posts within a 30 day period. ;-) Much like the team player, there IS a number, it just isn't anounced... Not sure why. Reply #9. Apr 29 10, 6:26 PM |

Probably because you get people pulling front page sweeps in an effort to get the badge in one day. Mind Melt monthly not in the cards this month for me due to missing a couple days in addition to some severe failures. Not too far off Team Magnate which would be a nice one to get. I'd like to get the rest of the Pot of Gold badgelets, though a couple of those are in topics where I always struggle and they're probably beyond my reach. I'd also like to get that elusive Daily Badge! A couple of months ago Schoonie told me it was near impossible to get that badge these days and a couple of days later I missed it by one second, grrrrrr. So tell me again, Schoonie, maybe that will swing it this time, lol. Team Magnate is not far off for me. I think one of the Joliettes will get it before me but not by much. flopsy, that daily game badge is all but impossible to get. Hope that puts the jinx together for you! Just checked out your profile - congrats! You ARE close to that Magnate badge. Just a few weeks. It's not that I am working on a badge, but I would like my acheivement badge for fill me in, the problem I have is that I am such a bad speller, that even when I get 10/10 I don't because I have always spelt 1 or 2 wrong and then I kick myself everytime for being such a "Wally", one day though Reply #14. Jack of All Trades keeps eluding me - I only need two more wins to get this one, but the last month I'm barely in the top ten most of the time. I know the problem Pete, I've even spelt false, flase! My problem is my keyboard skills aren't what you would call brilliant. I know the answers they just don't quite come out as planned. lol I know I should check what I've typed, but when you are playing a timed game speed is of the essence. It happens with other games where the cursor fails to mark the right answer and I get the familiar " You did not answer this question." Once had three of those in one knockout game! Reply #16. Wow, agony and flopsy! You ARE real close to those badges. I have tried (casually) for the Daily Game badge. I too am convinced it is impossible. But yet I have won the Impossible! badge...twice in a row, in fact. :D I just got Expert win #46, I will keep sputtering along towards #100. I should have had a win yesterday in "Other People," but somehow I clicked on (or thought I clicked on) one answer that didn't get recorded, and it was for a question I knew! Worst of all, I got the other 14 questions right. A 15/15 in the time that I had "would" have been good enough to win that category. Ah well, will have to be more careful next time. Reply #17. I have only 33 Expert wins, but I'll chug along and hope to reach 100 one of these days. On Feb. 8 (I think), I had 5 wins in a row--oh, glorious morning!--but all that seems to have been a fluke. I don't know how many expert wins I have... 22 or 23, depends on whether I won last night or not. ;-) I doubt it, though, with my score. ;-) Flopsy, it's only bottle_rocket ahead of you, right? I've been monitoring... I keep forgetting to check bottle_rocket's profile, until recently, he leads the pack on a lot of things, but before it was kickaha, then you, now him. Winning Impossible! twice in a row is pretty good, Robert. :) It took me forever to get that badge, if only because in the last couple of GCs there were a few players who seemed to win it every session. I decided towards the end of the last GC that I'd have to play the GC this time round just doing that category until I got the badge - and then of course I got it with a couple of weeks to go. I find that often happens, you reconcile yourself to never getting the badge and within a short time it drops into your lap, lol. As for the Team Magnate badge, it goes without saying that other people in the team also have to do really well and I'm lucky that the Llamas are pretty competitive as well as being a nice friendly bunch. You're right, Meathead, bottle_rocket will get the badge first - he's a couple of days ahead of me - and kickhaha is just behind. I missed a couple of team games a few months ago and that's the difference between me and bottle_rocket. Still, he beats me in everything else so it's not a surprise, lol. I got my 43rd Expert win a few days ago so there are only 67 things I don't know about to go. One of my team mates said once, when he missed out on getting a particular category, that he didn't mind too much as he wasn't an expert on the subject. On that basis, I need to give 42 of mine back!
