I find bricks and mortar new bookstores a real disappointment, in general. Even the really huge ones tend to have only am author's latest book, and maybe their "big" one. You walk in and it looks at first glance like reader's heaven - books as far as you can see - only to see that it's just multiple copies of the same book, and the same fewish authors. I guess I've been spoiled by the library - we have access through a province wide system to the collections of hundreds of different towns - and by big used-book sellers online like Amazon. I know of a website where you can get free books as well as video games, cds, dvds, etc. It's a trading site & all you have to pay for is the postage to send items to other users. I've gotten alot of free books this way & it's cheap! Reply #17. Jul 23 10, 12:28 AM |

I mainly frequent used bookstores. There's one in my city called Hooked on Books but it's only open in the summer. There's another that is the best one I've ever been to. I go about once a year. It is called the Book Barn and it is in Niantic, Connecticut. Reply #19. Sep 07 10, 9:59 AM |
