The first stop on our new world tour is the Mexican landmark The Pyramid of the Sun in Teotihuacan. About forty kilometers from Mexico City proper, this unique structure on the Avenue of the Dead was, at one point, a Mesoamerican cultural hub and a city centre for one of the biggest populations of the hemisphere. Now a dig site, let this Aztec archaeological treasure trove inspire your quizzes for this first stop. Reply #1. Jul 03 18, 12:10 AM |

Let's get out of the heat and fly abroad to Cambridge, England, where the University of Cambridge, founded in the thirteenth century, will be our next stop. Your quiz could be inspired by any one of its notable alumni-- Charles Darwin, Sir Isaac Newton, Stephen Hawking, Christopher Marlowe, Lord Byron, Oliver Cromwell, or countless royals. The list goes on!-- or you could hone in on one of the thirty-one colleges on campus. Take a walk down the River Cam and learn something specifically about this university city. Reply #4. And that unlocks our next destination: Scotland. Any quizzes for our third destination need look no further than this nation known for its rich medieval history, its association with the UK monarchy, its historical sites, its heroic figures, its unique foods, its Highlands, its Islands, or...y'know...anything else Scottish you can think of! Any city, any district, anything Scottish. Reply #7. Jul 05 18, 1:56 PM |

I kind of liked it, actually. Italics are woefully underused. Reply #11. Jul 06 18, 4:57 AM |

I would think for Cambridge, as The Fens are in that general area, as well as Lincolnshire, Norfolk and Suffolk. Reply #15. Jul 06 18, 1:38 PM |

That's what I thought. Also, it doesn't seem to be in the queues, so when it is, it'll be added. :) Reply #16. Jul 06 18, 3:36 PM |

Regarding the quizzes for GT1/2/3, as I have been asked recently and in the past, yes, the contributions sent in for it, while they don't reward anything special for the time being, may be used in future games. The more contributions we receive, the richer any possibilities could be. It certainly is a larger-scale undertaking than our normal challenges here in the Lounge, so more submissions are appreciated as we go. :) As I did with GT2, I've added some titles to the Author Challenge list which might be good starting points for the destinations currently posted. :) http://www.funtrivia.com/quizchallenges.cfm Reply #19.
