Have you ever gone on your local food network television program or internet food site and wanted to suggest a set of mystery ingredients for your chefs to prepare? Perhaps you have always wanted to be a part of the challenge and wanted to participate in a cooking program? Well, here's your chance to do so right here at FT. We've prepared a new challenge for you. There is a list of food ingredients in the LARGE mystery basket found below. Some of these ingredients may be strange or foreign, some will seem normal, almost as though you use them in your daily lives. The catch: you MUST use the name of an ingredient in your quiz title BUT your quiz cannot be placed in a "food-centric category".
For this second edition of the ‘Chopped Challenge’ there will be 10 single food items available for the taking. There will also be a selection of 8 international classics available for the taking. Once all 18 selections have been completed, the ‘Chopped Challenge’ has officially been completed.
But wait! There’s more. This is a challenge after all isn’t it? A selection of additional spice rack ingredients will be available to “compliment” your title that you can choose from. These are NOT mandatory BUT could be used to spiff up your dish (aka quiz title). For example, if you were doing a quiz using the food item ‘Meatballs’ you could select the spice rack item ‘Garlic’ to go with it and have a quiz titled “Cloudy With A Chance of Garlic and Meatballs’.
On top of this, with our 'ingredients', we also have a few categories and subcategories thrown into the mix which we will refer to as "appetizers". All seven of these categories MUST be used up in order for the challenge to be considered complete. These categories are "first come, first served". These categories are to be used in tandem with the ingredients given, to complete the challenge. Not all of the quizzes need to use the given choices, but all of the choices need to be used up. There's no waste in this kitchen.
You MUST make your selections here in this thread for them to be considered and are to submit them here to this thread so we know it has been sent into the queue. Like other challenges in the forum you are not allowed to have two topics at one time. Once you have submitted you quiz, you may choose another quiz topic for submission.
