Trident and I are putting together a new fun collectible artwork game to go along with authoring.
Each month we will present a "painting" that you can earn and display in your own personal art gallery. Over time you can collect and gather more and more works of art.
The limited time January 2023 painting will only be available for that month, never to appear again on FunTrivia.
HOW TO EARN:
Each month there will be 3 mini-challenges that will change month to month. ex. "author a sports quiz" or "author a photo quiz" or "complete an authoring title challenge".
Complete ONE of these mini-challenges during the month on ONE quiz submission and you will earn the painting... unframed. Complete ALL THREE mini-challenges spanning at least 2 different quizzes that you create in that month and you will get the painting with a lovely frame.
Examples: Complete mini-challenges #1 and #2 on quiz 1, and #3 on quiz 2. Or, submit one quiz that satisfies all three #1 #2 #3 and a second quiz on any topic. Or, one quiz that does #1, a second that does #2, and a third that does #3.

TIMING:
For the January painting, only quiz templates you create (or adopted) from January 1 to January 31 will be considered.
BUT: you get up to a month's grace period to get the quiz(zes) online, to take into account the variable editing process. So a quiz you create January 17th, but that goes online February 19th still counts for (only) January's painting.

I have a question, this month it says to do one of the newer formats, does it count to take an older quiz either adopted or my own, and redo (I forgot what those are called) and when I redo them in the new format, or does it have to be completely from scratch? Reply #162. Aug 01 23, 5:43 AM |

An Adopted quiz worked fine for January when it was a requirement, but I haven't attempted since then to see if it counts. My guess is it does, based on the timestamp of when the quiz created, but the only way to know would be to check. Reply #163. Aug 01 23, 7:16 AM |

My most recent quiz - a Sci/Tech photo match quiz - just went online, but I was not awarded the frame. I believed Photo/Match quizzes counted the same as standard Photo quizzes. I seem to remember that, when I started the template, the Author Gallery page showed that this quiz fulfilled Requirements 1 and 3. In any case, it's not a big deal at all, as I love writing photo quizzes, and can easily produce one before the end of the month. Reply #165. Aug 07 23, 5:17 AM |

No, when my photo/match quiz went online it said only #2 and #3 were met. As I said, it's not a problem. More of a curiosity. As photo/match quizzes counted for TRIC Z points, I thought it would be the same for the Author Gallery. Reply #167. Aug 07 23, 8:28 AM |

TRIC didn't count Photo-Match for Z. Had to manually award those because they were newer than the system understood (and it didn't make sense to program in with the game ending). For the sake of your painting, your quiz should account for Reqs 2 and 3, but not 1. That said, you should still need to complete one more quiz to get your frame-- it can't be completed with all three Reqs on just one quiz. Currently the game is already rewarding the paintings themselves (which are displayed and accessible from authors' profiles) and Prestige points for all unframed and framed rewards. There is a possibility of additional rewards in the future, but it would likely be based on filled-out collections (ie. consistency and completion). Reply #180. Sep 04 23, 8:34 AM |
