It's been a while since we've taken a bit of a clean-up trip to the Author Challenges list, but with this challenge, we're going to turn our efforts there in an attempt to tackle the longest-waiting titles. And with this being a milestone number (25 of these!?), let's spice it up a bit.
From now until Saturday (at noon FST), you may sign up to receive a title at random. The list will be posted then and the challenge will commence. It's kind of like a Commission, but you'll know what the selections are before the word go.
As always, in order to mark the title as claimed, you need to choose the title and create the quiz from the Author Challenges list. You'll know it's done right when you're on the 'Claimed' list. You may claim one at a time-- the list will only allow as much-- but if you have it placed online, you may claim another.

Just to double check, we get given the title and we have to choose it from the list? We can't just pick it ourselves? Can we ask for another title if we get one we can't write for? I'm asking cos I'm worried I'll get Nuclear Fission for Kids or something along those lines and I'm hopeless at science quizzes. Reply #1. Jun 14 23, 4:39 PM |

One of the titles is Theoretical Anomalies for Kids. I don't even know what a theoretical anomaly is. There's a couple of others that are 100% meant to be sci/tech quizzes. I'm on the fence because I like doing Author Challenges but there are some titles I can't write for, and I've been pulled up for doing non-indicative titles (thank G-d for sub-headings, because the Space Series has a few non-indicative titles in it, like the sports quiz I'm doing at the moment). No matter what, the title will be from what are currently the bottom-listed on the Author Challenges list, and usually we pull somewhere between 12-15. You would get one at random from those. When it's assigned, you go in and claim it and start writing away. Reply #4. Jun 14 23, 5:13 PM |
