Tony (Jon Mikl Thor) disrupted an attempted robbery and was run over by a gang of teenagers (Bob, Amy, Jim, Peter, and Susie). His mother, Louise, contacted a voodoo priestess, Molly, who resurrected Tony as a zombie. Tony killed Peter and Susie at the gym. Police investigated and told Capt. Tom Churchman (Adam West) that Molly might have had something to do with it. Churchman called Molly a "batty voodoo palm reader" and nothing to worry about. As the murders continued, Capt. Churchman knew more about what was happening than he told anyone.

Unrecognizable under the zombie makeup, Sherman Howard (Lex Luthor in "Superboy") played Bub, a zombie trained by Dr. Logan (Richard Liberty) in the movie "Day of the Dead" (1985). When the man in charge of the underground installation found out that Dr. Logan used military casualties to feed and train zombies, he shot Dr. Logan. Then the zombie shot him, leaving him to be attacked by other zombies. Sherman Howard appeared in various movies and TV shows, including the comedy soap "Good and Evil".

The role of Amy was played by actress Jena Malone. At the end of the film, she managed to drive away from the Mayan ruin in the jungle where her boyfriend and friends were killed. They were there on vacation and wound up being kept as prisoners by the Mayan locals. The reason was that the vines in the Mayan ruin were deadly! Anyone who touched them would become infected with these vines growing under their skin, which caused death. The alternate ending of the film on DVD showed Amy driving away, but with vines moving under her forehead, showing how she had became infected as well. Then there was another scene where a cemetery caretaker found some red flowers on Amy's grave that were imitating the same whistling sound that the caretaker was whistling while walking through the graveyard. This great film was directed by Carter Smith. Ben Stiller was executive producer.

In this movie, Jim (Cillian Murphy) wakes up alone in an empty hospital 28 days after getting into an accident, during his job as a bicycle courier, and finds London empty. When he begins to find survivors, they band together in order to find a safe place, but soon, they begin joining the destructive infected humans when they too get infected by their blood. When they come across the army, they think they're safe, but things get much worse when they encounter uninfected monsters. "28 Days Later" put zombie thrillers back on the map in 2002, and it was a great, creepy film.

In "An American Werewolf in London" two backpacking American students were attacked by a werewolf one night. One of them died, but the other one, David, survived. David was later visited by his dead friend, who said he was a zombie doomed to roam the earth until David killed himself, to stop the werewolf bloodline. Eventually, there was another full moon and David became a werewolf and killed people, who appeared to him as zombies the following night, insisting he kill himself.

In the movie "Zombies of Mora Tau" (1957) a treasure chest of diamonds was in a sunken vessel off the coast of Africa. The crew had drowned, but they became zombies who killed anyone trying to get the diamonds. When treasure hunters arrived, they were shown the graves of the people who tried to get the diamonds in the past. Two interesting things about this movie: the zombies were called the walking dead, and the opening credits included a printed message about "the twilight zone" between life and death.

Ty Burrell appeared on TV ("Out of Practice", "Back to You") and movies ("Evolution", "Black Hawk Down", "The Skeleton Twins", "Muppets Most Wanted"). Tom Savini played one of the bikers with a machete who killed zombies after letting them back into the mall. Savini did makeup effects for various movies ("Friday the 13th" and "Creepshow").

This movie features the four survivors all trying to get to a safe location free of zombies, which they mistakenly feel is an amusement park. The main character constantly quotes zombie survival tips, which prove to be very effective most of the time. All the incorrect answers were other films Woody Harrelson has been in. While Mr. Harrelson is not the main protagonist of the movie, he is often the one most remembered for his role as Tallahassee.

The infection takes over the UK when over zealous animal right's activists "save" the monkeys, only to doom the country as the rage virus infects nearly all the people in the UK. It follows a man who awakens from a coma 28 days after this event, only to find himself in a post apocalyptic nightmare.

The reason Universal Cryogenics is freezing their customers who have recently died is for the sake of hopefully finding a cure to their ailments, then reviving them to save them. Unfortunately, things don't work out as planned. Things go horribly wrong, as they usually do in films like this one! This 1989 flick also stars Dan Haggerty and Troy Donahue.

This was another George Romero zombie movie. This movie featured people living in a walled city, with one side protected by a body of water instead of a wall. When they went outside the city on a supply run, the people distracted the zombies by shooting fireworks. However, one zombie was more intelligent and wasn't fooled by fireworks anymore. He also discovered that he could walk underwater and get to the city. The other zombies followed him and hundreds of zombies attacked the people in the city.

Aliens resurrected the dead to scare the people near the cemetery in the movie "Plan 9 From Outer Space" directed and written by Ed Wood, who also made "Glen or Glenda" and "Bride of the Monster" with Bela Lugosi. The leader of the universe picked up the script and read it to explain what Plan 9 was, when the aliens tried to prevent earthlings from inventing a device which could explode light particles. Scenes from the movie were used in the documentary movie "It Came From Hollywood" which discussed low budget sci-fi/horror movies. Many movies have copied situations from Ed Wood films, most notably "The Rocky Horror Picture Show" (aliens as in "Plan 9", experiments as in "Bride of the Monster", and transvestites as in "Glen or Glenda").

"Resident Evil" takes place nearly completely underground, while the characters battle against not only a hoard of zombies but a computer trying to keep the virus contained within the facility. The T-virus is developed as bio-weaponry in this fictional work.
