Lantern Waste, in northwestern Narnia, was a notable location in three books: "The Magician's Nephew", "The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe", and "The Last Battle".
In "The Magician's Nephew", Lantern Waste was where Digory, Polly, and company stood as they watched Aslan create Narnia. At this time, the lantern, which the area is named after, came to be.
