The Faun in "The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe" was named Mr. Tumnus. The witch turned him into a statue but Aslan brought him back to life.

Answer: The witch

Aslan lays down his life in place of that of Edmund, a traitor. But Aslan rises from the dead and returns to defeat the witch and her army!
