Macedonia was home to an ancient Greek kingdom led by Alexander The Great. The area north of Greece and south of Serbia became officially known as the Republic of North Macedonia in February 2019. It had been previously called North Macedonia but wanted the official name change to become a member of NATO.

In March of 2020, the Republic of North Macedonia became the 30th country in NATO.

Punta Cana is in the Dominican Republic, in the easternmost tip of the country. Its beaches extend for 32 kilometers of beautiful sand and clear water. Punta Cana is in what is called the Coconut Coast or "La Costa del Coco" and it is the center of "all inclusive" resorts and honeymoon vacations. Acapulco and Puerto Vallarta are on Mexico's Pacific Coast and Cozumel is an island in the Caribbean Sea, which you can reach by ferry boat from Playa del Carmen, Mexico.

Just as a note, believe or not, there are only two main roads into Western Australia. Everything else is essentially a track.
When you reach either of the quarantine checkpoints, one based near Kununarra (coming in from the Northern Territory) and one near Eucla (coming in from South Australia), you reach a large checkpoint where every truck, car, caravan, bicycle (if you are slightly crazy- you have a 1,500 klm trip ahead of you from Eucla and 3,000 from Kununarra) bus, and motorbike is stopped and checked.

Surprisingly, they are not interested in passports or other documentation, or whether your car is roadworthy, and they are not even searching for weapons. What they want is your fruit and veg! And they have sniffer dogs to find it, just in case you have a bit of contraband (perhaps a sneaky banana) hidden behind your hubcap. Every single vegetable, plant, seed, piece of fruit and bit of soil has to be handed over. You won't get it back either - it's chucked into huge bins.
The reason for this is that for WA, these fruit and veg items could do more damage than just about anything else you can imagine: through diseases, pests and weeds that are not present in WA but are present on the East Coast. Certain diseases can virtually wipe out an entire crop, causing untold financial hardship and affecting many livelihoods. Likewise animals like cane toads, a massive problem in Queensland, could cause problems for decades to come.
When I first crossed the Nullarbor, I didn't know the checkpoint existed, and had to throw out two big bags of fruit I'd bought in the previous town!
