A telephoto lens, which can bring distant objects much closer (without them biting you!), would be the ideal lens. Wide angles are best for sweeping landscapes or interiors. Macros are good for close-ups, like flowers. A standard lens is a good lens if you don't want to shoot extremely distant or close objects.
