Each year, one of the NBA franchise teams host the annual NBA All-Star game. The All-Star game in 2007 was an exception to this and was held at Las Vegas. This was done in a bid to hold talks for a new NBA franchise in Las Vegas.

Answer: Horse

Horse is an age old variation of basketball which has been played by kids and players alike for some friendly competition. The 2009 Horse competition was sponsored by Geico, an auto insurance company, and hence the players were assigned letters from the word Geico whenever a player missed a made shot.

Phil Jackson participated in his 4th NBA All-Star game as coach, and this was Mike Brown's first appearance in the All-Star games as coach, and only the second Cleveland Cavalier's coach in history.

The first was Lenny Wilkens back in 1989.
