Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. DK starts the game already deep in the mines of Ingot Isle. How does he collect his first Banandium Gem?

Answer: By punching it

DK, like many of the other monkeys on Ingot Isle, are very aware that they've hit pay dirt in this region, and he'll start the game already deep within the earth in the chamber containing the very first Banandium Gem. Punching it will collect it, adding it to what will inevitably be a massive total accumulated throughout the game.

DK can continue punching his way through to the Banana Mining Belt, punching downward through the chambers there to find his Banandium Gem, a large switch, and access to an Ancient Cave.
2. In the Ancient Cave, DK will encounter his first checkpoint. Which of these does it resemble?

Answer: Tuning Fork

The Ancient Cave will give way to chambers lined with Gold and Banandium Chips, but more importantly, after learning how to create platforms, DK will be able to climb his way up to what can be revealed to be a checkpoint, a massive Tuning Fork that he'll return to if need-be or, eventually, travel back to on a whim.

This is done by punching the checkpoint and summoning the Eelavators, who'll teeleport you where you need to go.
3. In the Ancient Cave, DK will encounter his first enemy. Which of these is it?

Answer: Antickoid

Shortly after DK collects his third Banandium Gem, he'll proceed into a Gold-laden chamber containing a small contingent of Prospector Monkeys, but the place will be swarming with Antickoids, odd, purple insect creatures who appear to be hoarding and eating the resources here and otherwise getting in the way. All you need to do to defeat them is punch them-- they aren't too hardy.

It will later be determined that these foes were created by the Void Company, and they aren't too far away.
4. DK will be haplessly swept away by a disaster brought on by which of these unexpected turns of events?

Answer: A vortex

Coming to the far end of the Ancient Cave, DK will find what he came to retrieve, several bunches and bunches of Banandium Gems, but his claim will be thwarted by the arrival of VoidCo and the giant vortex they create. It will be a massive disaster-- one that will have the perpetrators claiming all the ore and items they can and one that will push the entirety of Ingot Isle down, deep into the ground to Sublayer 10.

It's not a good situation for the monkeys of Ingot Isle-- that's for sure.
5. Which of these will land in the Ingot Isle crater and join DK on his adventure?

Answer: Odd Rock

There's a lot to check on down in the Ingot Isle cave-in, but the most exciting of these objectives will be for DK to investigate the touchdown of a purple-trailed thing that lands in the crater, having fallen from the sky after the area was cast into the ground. What DK will find there is an odd, sentient, purple rock with a face and legs.

It'll run off, afraid, but a quick battle with a handful of Antickoids will lead the Odd Rock to trust you, especially when you whistle to it to calm it down.

It'll be a good choice if only because it'll give DK a partner for the adventure.
6. Which of these will free up access to the VoidCo Gizmo in the Cave-In Site?

Answer: Music

DK will attempt to make his way through the crater resulting from the vortex disaster but the Prospector Monkeys, already looking for solutions, will find a massive purple object rooted to the ground, blocking access to a critical Barrel Cannon. Once DK gets the Odd Rock on his side, the path can clear up quite easily because, as it turns out, the Gizmo (created by VoidCo), responds positively to music. Once you whistle enough, it'll reveal its weakness and can be punched into pieces to grant entry.
7. What is the name of the raucous mining town found in Ingot Isle?

Answer: Baboomtown

Decked out in neon lights, work zones, and fun establishments, Baboomtown seems to be the place to be for the blue-collar monkeys working the mines of Ingot Isle, and it's a real shame to see that when the whole area is pushed underground, it's in need of some helpful repair. DK has to pass through the town no matter the case, carving a path through dense bramble, then climbing the Mine Scaffold to Banana Pass to achieve his objective of reaching the top.
8. Access to the Lagoon Layer can only be obtained if you fight and defeat which 'Rock Monster' foe?

Answer: Crockoid

The Prospector Monkeys will allude to a stake at the top of Baboomtown that looks important, and that's a better lead than any for DK to follow. When he reaches this spot, however, a creature with gold skin will form a rock monster known as a Crockoid. There are many ways to take this foe out, but something as simple as punching can do the trick. What will result is DK will have a way to destroy the stake, a Banandium Bunch will form, and a path down to the next layer, the Lagoon Layer, will follow.

Should DK jump down to collect the Banandium Bunch, he won't return to Baboomtown until the game's adventure concludes.
9. The Ingot Isles will open back up for full operations after which event occurs?

Answer: K. Rool is defeated

It'll take a while, but DK will eventually be able to get his wish for more bananas once he and Pauline fight Void Company and, eventually, King K. Rool himself at the end of the adventure in the Planet Core (and beyond). Pauline will allow DK to pursue his dreams, prompting him to jump back into the sinkhole from whence they came, and three months later, things will have changed drastically in Ingot Isle. To start, a new Banandium Gem (the Gold Rush gem) will kick off a continued hunt for more rewards. And it doesn't end there.
10. Which of these, created in Ingot Isle, will reunite DK and Pauline at the end of the game?

Answer: Warp Gong

One notable change to be seen when both Void Company and K. Rool are defeated is that both Grumpy Kong and Poppy Kong, formerly Void Co. foes, have turned their attention to being less power-hungry by joining the operations at Ingot Isle, working for the betterment of the region. They start by sealing off the massive sinkhole they helped create, but Grumpy Kong also tries his hand at creating a Warp Gong in the newly-renovated crater where the Odd Rock was found at the start of the journey.

As DK hits the Warp Gong to test it out, a Harmoneel bearing Pauline will appear, reuniting the pair, and fortunately, she needs help. She's doing a show at New Donk City Hall and she needs some inspiration. It starts with speaking to the Elders, and it means continuing past the natural end of the adventure.
