They first appeared in "Walt Disney Comics and Stories" #134, and they live in hope that one day they will be able to get away with stealing all of Scrooge's millions. The Whiskervilles were a clan back in Scotland who were long-standing enemies of the McDuck clan. Flintheart Glomgold is another millionaire who has a history of competing with Scrooge. Bernie Madoff is a real-life person who was responsible for a Ponzi scheme that is considered the biggest fraud in U.S. history.
