1. What is the name of the currency in Hungary?

From Quiz

Answer: Forint

The Forint is the current (2016) currency of Hungary. Although a member of the EU, Hungary would dearly love to be a member of the Euro currency. However, this could take some time. The Fanam used to be the currency used by the Madras Presidency until 1815. It was circulated alongside the Indian Rupee. The Florin was the currency of Tuscany between 1826-1859. The Franc was a currency used by a number of countries including France, Luxembourg and Belgium before converting to the Euro. The Swiss Franc is still a valuable currency.

3. Flibbertigibbet! Many know this word to mean a crazy or whimsical person, particularly a young woman from "The Sound of Music". However, in a Shakespearean play, Flibbertigibbet was one of the five fiends that possessed Edgar. What play was this?

From Quiz ABChain Gang - F

Answer: King Lear

William Shakespeare wrote "King Lear" around 1605. In the play, Edgar is claimed to be possessed by five different fiends. One of these fiends is "Flibbertygibbet", which is used to mean "fiend", "sprite", or "devil". Maria from "The Sound of Music" is called a "flibbertygibbet" in the song "Maria": "How do you solve a problem like Maria? How do you catch a cloud and pin it down? How do you find a word that means Maria? A flibbertigibbet! A will-o'-the wisp! A clown!" ~salami_swami

4. Going to the dogs: Which breed is small in size, active, prefers cool climates, needs lots of exercise and has a coat in black, mahogany or liver?

From Quiz "F"inally another alphabet quiz

Answer: Field Spaniel

A descendant of the English Cocker Spaniel, the Field Spaniel is a working dog which has a gentle, affectionate personality. The Finnish Lapphund originated, as the name implies, in Lapland, the area on the Scandinavian Peninsula north of the arctic circle. Initially hunters, they changed with the Sami society and became herding dogs. A spitz breed, the thick weatherproof coat protects a small, intelligent, friendly dog which needs a moderate amount of exercise. The French Brittany Spaniel is a gun dog, normally black and white but may be tricoloured (white, liver and orange, or roaned in these colours). With an easy-going disposition and seemingly unlimited energy, this little guy makes a good companion and excellent bird dog. The Fauves de Bretagne is a medium-sized, reddish dog with a history going back to the Middle Ages. Also known as the Tawny Brittany Griffon, it was originally used to keep wolves from the sheep in Brittany.

5. What do these have in common- rhea, cassowary, dodo?

From Quiz F Words

Answer: flightless

The extinct dodo, the cassowary and rhea are all flightless birds. The dodo is the only one that is extinct (while the Lesser Rhea is extinct, the Common Rhea is not) and all three are classified in different orders and therefore different families (cassowary is in order Casuariiformes, rhea is in Rheiformes and dodo was in Columbiformes, closely related to the pigeon and dove). Therefore, the only similarity listed is that they are (or were) flightless.

17. When does Black History month take place in the US?

From Quiz The Fantabulous "F"!

Answer: February

We owe this great month to Dr. Carter G. Woodson. He was born to parents who were former slaves. He worked hard though, taking grueling jobs so he could go to Harvard to get an MBA. He was saddened and disturbed by the fact that there were hardly any blacks in the history books, and in the few cases that were, they were shown in a very inferior light. So he established the Association for the Study of Negro Life and History (now the Association for the Study of Afro-American Life and History) in 1915, and one year later he founded the broadly respected "Journal of Negro History". In 1926, Woodson launched Negro History Week "to bring national attention to the contributions of black people throughout American history", and Black History month has been held ever since.
