Answer:
Kate Bush
In my opinion Kate Bush is probably the greatest pop star that Britain has ever produced. I could fill pages praising her work so I will try and keep it short here! Kate Bush released her first album 'The Kick Inside' in 1978 when she was still a teenager. 'The Kick Inside' features Bush's only UK number one single 'Wuthering Heights'. Bush followed her debut up with 'Lionheart', and, while neither album can compare to her subsequent work, they both have a great deal of charm and feature many wonderful songs, particularly 'The Kick Inside' from the album of the same name. It was with 1980's 'Never For Ever' that I feel Kate Bush really came into her own. By this time she had increasingly taken control of all aspects of her music, including production, and was able to have a greater say on how it sounded. This is particularly evident on the two albums I consider to be her masterpieces, 1982's 'The Dreaming' and 1985's 'Hounds of Love', both of which were almost entirely produced by Bush herself. 'The Sensual World', on which 'Heads We're Dancing' features, is more personal and intimate than much of Bush's earlier work.
