2. This 1962 gem from Boris Pickett became a perennial Halloween favorite. It was rendered with a Boris Karloff voice. It was a "graveyard smash and it caught on with a flash." Can you identify this song in a dash?

From Quiz Dr. Demento's Halloween Songs

Answer: Monster Mash

This was a big hit for Bobby Boris Pickett and the Crypt-Kickers in 1962. Yes, I transposed the lyrics a bit, so don't have a fit. Suffice it to say that this song was a great hit from the 60's. It was featured on the Dr. Demento show in 1976. (Syndicated show) It happened to be one of the most popular Halloween songs appearing on Dr. Demento.

3. This song entitled, "Her Majesty" appeared on the "Abbey Road" album, registering in at about 23 seconds. Which group performed this song?

From Quiz Dr. Demento Miniature Show

Answer: Beatles

Paul McCartney wrote this little ditty about British royalty. It was definitely the shortest composition published by the Beatles, and appeared almost as an afterthought on the "Abbey Road" album. A few lyrics follow: "Her Majesty's a pretty nice girl, but she doesn't have a lot to say. Her Majesty's a pretty nice girl, but she changes from day to day. I wanna tell her that I love her a lot, but I gotta get a bellyful of wine. Her Majesty's a pretty nice girl... Someday I'm going to make her mine. Oh yeah, someday I'm gonna make her mine."

4. In April of 1990, this singer with a great vocal range entertained us with this song: "I ain't got no sister I ain't got a brother I ain't got a father Not even a mother I'm a lonely boy I ain't got a home." Who is this talented artist?

From Quiz Leaping ahead to the 90's for "Dr. Demento."

Answer: Clarence "Frogman" Henry

The rest of his lyrics follow: "Well, I got a voice And I love to sing I can sing like a bird And I can sing like a frog I'm a lonely boy I ain't got a home I ain't got a girl I ain't got a son I ain't got no kin I ain't got no one I'm a lonely frog I ain't got a home Woo-woo-woo-woo-woo-woo-woo-woo Madam, take me in Let me be your friend Won't you take me in Let me be your friend I'm a lonely boy I ain't got a home Woo-woo-woo-woo-woo-woo-woo-woo" Certainly, his ability to emulate a frog's voice earned him his nickname. It was popularly featured on the "Rush Limbaugh" show, as well. Clarence actually opened quite a few shows for the Beatles in 1964. Along with many other artists - surprisingly enough, including chess players - Clarence earned a respectable living by performing on Bourbon Street, in New Orleans, Louisiana.

Answer: "Shaving Cream"

Written by Benny Bell, in 1946, this delightful song has been covered by various artists, including Dr. Demento, himself. Here are the lyrics: "I have a sad story to tell you. It may hurt your feelings a bit. last night, when I walked in my bathroom, I stepped in a pile of... Shaving cream, be nice and clean! Shave every day, and you'll always look keen. I think I'll break up with my girlfriend. Her antics are queer, I'll admit. Each time I say "Darling, I love you," She tells me that I'm full of... Shaving cream, be nice and clean! Shave every day, and you'll always look keen. A baby fell out of the window. You'd think that her head would be split. But good luck was with her that morning. She fell in a barrel of... Shaving cream, be nice and clean! Shave every day, and you'll always look keen. When I was in France with the Army, One day I looked into my kit. I thought I would find me a sandwich, But the darn thing was loaded with... Shaving cream, be nice and clean! Shave every day, and you'll always look keen. And now, folks, my story is ended. I think it is time I should quit. If any of you feel offended, Stick your head in a barrel of... Shaving cream, be nice and clean! Shave every day, and you'll always look keen."
