A miller lies to a king saying his daughter can spin straw into gold; the king locks up the daughter with a spinning wheel and straw, and tells her if she doesn't produce gold, he'll cut off her head. Enter the imp, Rumpelstiltskin, who spins gold, gets a necklace, a ring and the promise of the first born since king will marry the daughter if successful on the third night.

The girl becomes the queen, has a baby, the imp comes to retrieve baby but gives her an out (there's always an escape clause).

She finds out his name and when she tells him, he is gone forever. Whew!
3. Rope and sell

Answer: Rapunzel

Based on a German fairy tale, "Rapunzel" was published in 1812 by the Brothers Grimm. The story tells of a girl with magic hair who is kept locked in a tower for 18 years until some help arrives. She is aware of her royal heritage.
4. Hints sell land griddle

Answer: Hansel and Gretel

A brother and sister are in the woods and come across a candy house owned by a witch; the witch is about to eat the pair but they manage to outwit her.
5. Allies sin one dull end

Answer: Alice in Wonderland

This is Lewis Carroll's story of a girl who falls down a rabbit hole and has some very strange experiences. I wonder what was in that 'drink me' bottle?
6. Thea glee dock Lynn

Answer: The Ugly Duckling

Hans Christian Andersen tells the story of a homely bird who gets teased a lot until he matures and turns into a beautiful swan.
7. Booty anti pieced

Answer: Beauty and the Beast

Beauty (aka Belle) lives with her father and two evil sisters (familiar?); her father goes broke but finds out one of his ships has survived. He goes to get the valuables which he promised to the selfish sisters but finds they have been sold to his debtors. Beauty only asked for a rose so father goes to a castle and picks a rose, but the beast holds him prisoner. Dad and Beauty switch places so she is now held captive by the Beast (albeit luxuriously). Beauty is allowed to return home for a week but is delayed in returning, sees Beast dying and goes back sobbing.

Her tears (and love) turn him into a handsome prince.
8. Ladle road writing hued

Answer: Little Red Riding Hood

A little girl strolls through the woods to visit her sickly grandma; she meets a wolf and tells him her plans (although I never understood why), so he goes to grandma's house for dinner (wink, wink!). The wolf then either eats grandma or stuffs her in a closet (depending on the version), puts on grandma's clothes and waits for 'Red' - for dessert. Red shows up..."what big eyes you have", yada yada, and lumberjack comes to the rescue.
9. Tap rinses ending pee

Answer: The Princess and the Pea

A prince (handsome, no doubt) has had trouble finding a suitable wife; our princess shows up, but is she the real deal? The prince's mother (future in-law?) decides to test her sensitivity to see if she's ok for her son. Princess winds up sleeping on 20 mattresses and 20 feather beds (whatever they are) under which the mother places a pea (now how did that pea NOT get squashed?). Anyway, the princess wakes up and complains about her sleepless night due to something hard in the bed; she's real, they marry and the pea is put in the Royal Museum.
10. Dee herein da door toys

Answer: The Hare and the Tortoise

A rabbit and a turtle have a race (with a foregone conclusion) but the rabbit takes a nap and the tortoise wins; that must have been SOME nap! "Slow and steady wins the race".
