He was afraid of many things, but he overcame his fears when he solved a murder for the police department in each episode of "Monk" which ran 125 episodes over eight seasons on the USA Network from July 12, 2002 till December 4, 2009.

Abby was a woman possessed by the African god Eshu in the movie "Abby" which was released on December 25, 1974. Her father-in-law found a statuette of Eshu in Africa, and this somehow made Abby possessed with a spirit that made her super strong and angry.

The film was pulled from release after a lawsuit claimed it was too much like "The Exorcist". The beginning was similar to "The Exorcist", but so was the beginning of "The Omen".

"Ruby" was a horror movie released on June 29, 1977. The story began when Ruby (Piper Laurie) was with her mobster boyfriend, Nicky, when he died and vowed his spirit would get revenge. Sixteen years later Ruby's mute daughter, Leslie, became possessed with the spirit of Nicky after poltergeist activity began at the drive-in movie theater managed by Ruby. Nicky's voice came out of Leslie.
