Malory Towers: Second Form Trivia Quiz

On the first day of term Miss Parker announced that Sally was chosen to be the head girl for the second form. Sally was chosen due to being steady, loyal, kindly and sensible. Most of the form was happy with the choice in head girl, although some were upset.

Irene did not care but Alicia was very upset that she was not in the running. Ellen, a new girl, received a scholarship to go to Malory Towers. When she arrives at Malory Towers she is tired due to all her hard work in winning the scholarship. Due to her brain not working properly after working too hard, she becomes very irritable.

Due to bad weather the teachers decided to organise a school walk. Both Gwendoline and Daphne were the most annoyed by this walk. Gwendoline tried to get out of it by developing a sniff in class hoping to get out of the walk. However, Miss Parker had been warned by Miss Potts and knew Gwendoline was pretending to be sick. Daphne used her charming smile to charm Mam'zelle by asking for extra French tutoring about her tenses. Mam'zelle laps it up and agrees to tutor Daphne during the country walk the following day, to the displeasure of the other teachers.

Surprisingly it wasn't Daphne's 'best friend' Gwendoline. Instead it was little loyal Mary-Lou.

Mary-Lou was very happy to be able to be useful to someone else instead of her asking for help. She became exceedingly good at French due to her mother having a French girl to look after her during the holidays in the past year. Throughout these lessons Daphne becomes fond of Mary-Lou and they become unlikely friends.
