1. What is the name of the squirrel David and Lucy set out to find?

Answer: Conker

Conker is a grey squirrel who eventually dies of a kidney problem, causing David to write a bad ending to his birthday story for Lucy.

2. Who is David's 'girlfriend' near the end of the book?

Answer: Sophie

Sophie, in the book, eventually gives into Lucy's pleads to release Conker and put him into the library gardens.

3. What did David name his specialized dragon?

Answer: Gadzooks

Gadzooks specialized in book writing and an image of Gadzooks would occasionally pop into David's mind as he wrote something down on his notepad.

4. How do you get the dragon tear back into a dragon?

As the tears come down David's face he thinks about Conker.

When reading this book I decided that d'Lacey wanted the readers to dream it and this is a very good tip, which could also be considered advice, to do with any book you're reading.
