Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. What is the name of the first episode?

Answer: Turtle Tracks

Turtle Tracks is the first ever episode of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. It first aired in the US on December 28, 1987 and the phenomenon ran until 1996.
2. What kind of weapon does Donatello weild?

Answer: a bo staff

Donatello fought with a bo staff. A bo staff is a simple wooden stick. It is about 3 to 4 feet long and is a two-handed weapon. It is designed to disarm the enemy. Donatello wields it superbly!
3. In which episode are we introduced to Bebop and Rocksteady?

Answer: Enter the Shredder

This dynamic duo made their first appearance in the 2nd episode of the series, "Enter the Shredder". They did appear in the first episode but only as punks, not as Bebop and Rocksteady. It is in the 2nd episode that Shredder mutates them into a Rhino and a Warthog.

Their stupidity is evidenced right away. They charged at the turtles but the turtles leaped and the 2 crashed into each other knocking themselves unconscious.
4. In the episode "Enter the Shredder", Donatello puts an explosive object on the wall so the Turtles can blow up the wall to keep from getting squished. One of the turtles throws a Ninja star, or shurikan, at this object. Which turtle?

Answer: Leonardo

This scene is very Indiana Jones-esque. The turtles have infiltrated the Technodrome in an attempt to save their master Splinter. Shredder is putting them through a series of tests to gauge their skill. Escaping this rolling, spiked object is one of those tests and on the other side of the wall is a tied up Splinter.
5. Which turtle is first to meet Krang?

Answer: Michaelangelo

In the episode "A Thing About Rats" Michaelangelo has been captured by Shredder and is freed by Shredder's uneasy ally, Krang. Krang is the enemy of the Turtles but he wants them to win so Shredder will give in to his demands and create a mechanical body that Krang can inhabit, because he is just a large pink brain with 2 tentacles.
6. What is the name of the girl Neutrino the Turtles meet in the episode "Hot-Rodding Teenagers from Dimension X"?

Answer: Kala

Kala is the orange-haired teenager from Dimension X. She is upset because she wants to play and have fun (after all she's just a kid), but the people in Dimension X are all about war - they hate fun. Michaelangelo is sweet to Kala. April happens to be the TV news reporter that the turtles are friends with and the other 2 names I just made up.
7. What kind of creature is the mutant Bebop blended with?

Answer: Warthog

Bebop is of course a warthog. He has a nosering and often snorts when he talks. His best friend Rocksteady is a rhino.
8. What is the name of the man that Shredder associates with in the episode "A Thing About Rats"?

Answer: Baxter Stockman

Baxter Stockman created mousers designed to hunt and kill rats. They could solve the city's rat problem but the pest control people will not fund his work because the mousers would put them all out of business. However, Shredder wants to get the mousers so he can use them to take care of his own rat problem, a frustrating rat named Splinter.

The other three characters do not appear in season one.
9. Which turtle proclaimed that he loves to play hide and seek in "A Thing About Rats?"

Answer: Michaelangelo

Michaelangelo has just had a building collapse on him. He lay under a door waiting for the others to find him and when a worried Raphael finds him and picks up the door Michaelangelo jokingly says, "I just love hide and seek don't you?"
10. In the episode "A Thing About Rats", if the assistant of Shredder does not talk what is Raphael going to get?

Answer: sarcastic

A tied up Baxter says, "I'll never talk!" and Raphael holds up his sai and says, "You'd better, or else I'm gonna get sarcastic." Baxter spills the beans and Raphael jokes, "See? Nothing beats cutting wit."
