1. Along the coast of which country would you be able to see a naturally formed arch known as Durdle Door?

Answer: England

2. Which European capital houses the arch shown in the picture that was built to commemorate the city's reconstruction after a major earthquake?

Answer: Lisbon

The Rua Augusta Arch is a stone arch building that was in the making for more than a century. The city of Lisbon was devastated by an earthquake that occurred in 1755. Construction of the arch began in 1755 when it was envisioned as a simple bell tower. Over the hundred years that it took to complete the structure, the original design underwent many modifications to finally end up as a building with a triumphal arch at the centre.

The arch has six columns along which are carved various historical figures including that of Vasco da Gama, the Portuguese sailor who became the first European to chart a sea route to India.
3. In which US state would you find a national park containing over 2000 naturally formed arches?

Answer: Utah

The Arches National Park is found in the eastern part of the state of Utah. Due to the erosion and weathering of the softer, lower layers of sandstone leaving only the harder outer layers in various different forms, multiple arch-like structures are found in the park. One of the best-known structures is the Delicate Arch which stands at over 20 meters tall and is depicted on a commemorative stamp released on Utah's 100 year anniversary of admission to the Union.

Answer: Malta

The Azure Window, known as Tieqa Żerqa in Maltese, was found near the Dwerja Bay on the island of Gozo which is the second largest island in the archipelago of Malta. 8. On which continent would you find the London Arch that was formed when one span of the naturally formed London Bridge collapsed in 1990?

Answer: Australia

The Great Ocean Road, a stretch of highway along the south-eastern coast of Australia, is home to many naturally formed tourist attractions. The London Bridge was one of them, being a double-spanned natural bridge formed due to the erosion of the underlying rock over the years.

In 1990, one of the spans suddenly collapsed leaving two tourists stranded on the outer span before they were rescued aerially. The remaining structure was then renamed the London Arch.
