The constitution of India was adopted on 8th November, 1949; it contained 395 articles and 8 schedules. In 2014, it had 444 articles and 12 schedules. The constituent assembly took nearly three years to complete the constitution.

The constitution of India came into force on January 26, 1950. January 26 is also celebrated as Republic Day of India.

Kalpana Chawla was first Indian woman to go in space. She was born on March 17, 1962 at Karnal, Haryana. She was first Indian U.S. astronaut. She spent 31 days, 14 hours, 54 minutes time in space. She had been awarded the "Congressional Space Medal of Honor". She died on February 1, 2003 aged 40.
3. Who was the finance minister of Akbar?

Raja Todar Mal was Finance Minister in Akbar's court. He was born into a Hindu family at Laharpur, Uttar Pradesh. He was one of the "Nine Gems" of Akbar.

4. When was the Muslim League formed in India?

Answer: 1906

The Muslim League was formed in 1906 by Aga Khan, Nawab Salimullah of Dhaka and Nawab Mohsin-ul-mulk. The league supported the partition of Bengal in 1905 and opposed the Swadeshi movement. They demanded special safeguards for their community and a separate electorate for Muslims. This led to communal differences between Hindus and Muslims.

Indian National Congress was founded by Allan Octavian Hume in 1885. A.O. Hume was the member of Theosophical Society. After the INC was formed W.C. The Election Commission of India is an autonomous, constitutionally established federal authority responsible for administering all the electoral processes in the Republic of India. 25 January is celebrated as National Voters' Day in India.
9. Which Indian was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize in 2014?

Answer: Kailash Satyarthi

Kailash Satyarthi became the second Indian to get the Nobel Peace Prize whereas Mother Teresa was the first Indian citizen to get that honour. He was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize in 2014. He is an activist against child labour. He founded "Bachpan Bachao Andolan" ("Save Childhood Movement") in 1980.

He was born on 11 January 1954. He also won some other prizes such as the Aachen International Peace Prize (1994), the Robert F. Kennedy Human Rights Award (1995), the Alfonso Comin International Award (2008), the Medal of the Italian Senate (2007) and the Defenders of Democracy Award (2009).
