5. When King Francis I of Naples visited an exhibition of scupltures and artefacts from Pompeii he was more than a little taken aback by the openly erotic nature of many of the exhibits. What did he have done with them?

To make matters worse, he had his wife and daughter with him at the time. The contents of the secret chamber were not finally made accessible to the general public till 2000.
6. Which year did Titus die?

Answer: 81 AD

At the close of the games, Titus officially dedicated the amphitheatre and the baths, which was his final recorded act as emperor. He set out for the Sabine territories but fell ill at the first posting station where he died of a fever, reportedly in the same farm-house as his father. Allegedly, the last words he uttered before passing away were: "I have made but one mistake". Titus had ruled the Roman Empire for just over two years, from the death of his father in 79 to his own death on September 13, 81.

He was succeeded by Domitian, whose first act as emperor was to deify his brother.
7. Domitian was well educated. While his father and brother were in Judea, Domitian was put under the care of Titus Flavius Sabinus II. What was Domitian's relation to this man?

Answer: Sabinus was his uncle

During the Jewish-Roman wars, Domitian was likely taken under the care of his uncle Titus Flavius Sabinus II, then city prefect of Rome; possibly even Marcus Cocceius Nerva, a loyal friend of the Flavians and the future successor to Domitian.
8. Who was Domitian's beloved wife?

Answer: Domitia Longina

Vespasian attempted to arrange a dynastic marriage between his youngest son and the daughter of Titus, Julia Flavia, but Domitian was adamant that he wanted to marry Domitia Longina, and even went so far as to persuade her husband, Lucius Aelius Lamia, to divorce her so that he could marry her.
9. Domitian had several triumphs, namely over the Germanic and British tribes. Which Germanic tribe was the hardest 'nut to crack'?

Answer: Chatti

The Chatti (also Catti) were an ancient Germanic tribe in central and northern Hesse and southern Lower Saxony, along the upper reaches of the Weser river and in the valleys and mountains of the Eder, Fulda and Werra river regions, a district approximately corresponding to Hesse-Cassel, though probably somewhat more extensive. According to Tacitus (Histories iv. 70), among them were the Batavians, until an internal quarrel drove them out, to take up new lands at the mouth of the Rhine.
10. Who murdered Domitian?

Answer: Stephanus

Domitian was murdered in September 96, in a palace conspiracy organized by court officials and high ranking members of the Praetorian Guard. The emperor believed that, according to an astrological prediction, he would die around noon. Therefore, he was always restless at this time of the day. On his last day, Domitian was feeling disturbed and asked a servant boy several times what time it was.

The boy, included in the plot, lied, saying that it was much later. More at ease, the emperor went to his desk to sign some decrees, where he was stabbed eight times by Stephanus, a member of the praetorians.
