1. In which USA state have I quietly been buying up a huge tract of land for the past several decades? This is where Grizzly Cove is to be set up.

Answer: Washington

Grizzly Cove is located near the very tip of Washington State. I bought the land over several decades using every spare dollar I had, and later convinced the rest of the men I served with to buy up the rest of the land we would need. We've all bonded together over the years of covert missions and top secret assignments and were retiring from the military. Bear shifters are usually loners, but I wanted to see these men/shifters, that I've been the commanding officer to at one time or another, have fulfilling lives of their own.

Answer: Bake Shop

It is called the Grizzly Cove Bake Shop and the sisters live in the tiny apartment above the small store. Business was booming, because bears like sweet things.

Answer: Koala

Koalas are not actually bears but marsupials. The Aussie had escaped from a zoo where shifters were imprisoned/held captive. He has his own story in the Grizzly Cove series, in book 8: "The Luck of the Shifters".

He admits it was a bad way for Nell to find out, but he likes the result, as it led him to where they are now. They share a kiss on the beach.

Yes, things move quickly when shifters recognize their fated mate. Their inner animal, in this case, the bear often recognizes its mate before the human half is sure.

Brody manages to get the gun away from the koala shifter and takes him to the lock up. Sadly, he gets shot before he gets the gun, but it is not a serious wound. He's a little annoyed, as this endeavor is starting to make him late for a meeting with Nell and her sisters.

Answer: Shoulder

Brody got shot in the shoulder before he managed to wrestle the gun away. It is not a serious wound and it healed quickly after he shifted into his grizzly form, to rush home to meet Nell as they are going to tell her sisters about the shifters. His grizzly form will take him home quicker.

10. Brody and Nell get my permission to tell Ashley and Tina about the shifters in town. Are they surprised when they are told?

Answer: No

Both Ashley and Tina had known for weeks about the shifters, having seen some of the people shift into their bear form when either Ashley or Tina were unseen on their roof garden. The next book in the Grizzly Cove series is about Ashley meeting her grizzly mate. It's called "Mating Dance".
