The father begged and begged the church council until they finally let them go. He's not well thought of!

Answer: Kilanga

This is the site "Father" wanted. Everyone else in the family thinks he's nuts!
3. What carried off and killed many in the Congo?

You have to admit, being killed by ants is an unusual way to go!
4. What member of the family died from snakebite?

Talk about sad. Personally, I voted for offing the father by this point.

Answer: Anatole

At least some good came from her trip!
6. "My name is Ruth May and I hate..."

Imagine being 6 and your father moving you to a place in the middle of nowhere all so you can save the souls of the natives!
7. Why wouldn't the people allow their children to go to the river for baptism?

Answer: Because last time crocodiles ate them!

I don't blame them... this guy frequently called "Poisonwood" the "Saviour" and then wants to dump their kids in the river so crocodiles can get them!

Answer: Baptist

The most interesting part of this missionary deal is that when "Father" comes into contact with other White missionaries of different denominations, he tries to convert them as well!
9. When was the book written?

Answer: 1998

While there is really nothing interesting about the year itself, the book made the cut for Oprah and her book club!

Answer: Jesus

It's amazing how "Jesus" and "Poisonwood" are similiar in that language. It makes you wonder about the translators.
