In Discworld, belief is the food of the gods. The more believers a god has, the more powerful he is, something like a politician. It doesn't mean that Discworld gods are careful, attentive, supportive or considerate to their believers, just as can be the case with a politician.

Rincewind who is arguably the most coward man in the disc (and one of the fastest), has been the unwilling hero of many adventures in which he was the subject of her attentions.

Answer: Om

After his adventures as a small god, Om took a radical new approach to godhood, becoming the first god in Discworld to care for his believers. He also turned his believers from an army bent on destroying everyone else, to an army bent on converting everyone else. This did not make Omnians any more likeable.
