Sophia was an alcoholic prostitute who actively hated Cal, and neglected both her sons. She only bore Cal because she was paid to do so, and named him so that he would "never forget he was a monster".

The Auphe are the "monster's monster" - they live to torture and kill. They have grey skin, red eyes, huge claws and metal fangs.
Since the day Cal was born they have watched and hounded the brothers, waiting for Cal to gain maturity so they could use him; first in a scheme to eliminate humans, then later as breeding stock.

Promise is several hundred years old, and has had no less than five very rich, very elderly husbands; she is well provided for and lives a glamorous life of luxury.

Robin Goodfellow is a Puck, but unusually for a member of that race, he takes a genuine liking to Cal and Nick, and feels loyalty to them, to the point of risking his own life to help them out.

Wahanket, or Hank as Cal calls him, loves modern technology, and can be bribed with gifts of lap tops, cell phones and the like.
He cannot be trusted, but, if approached with caution and suitably bribed can be very helpful when he is so inclined.

Answer: Ishiah

Ishiah is a peri with an attitude. He has wings and looks like an Angel, but has a really bad temper, especially when Cal kills one of the customers. Cal does this surprisingly often, although not always on purpose...

Answer: Delilah

Cal is determined that he will never father children and risk passing on his Auphe genes, so he refuses to take a lover who could become pregnant.
Delilah cannot have children, and also, as a werewolf, is quite capable of defending herself if Cal's enemies try to get to him by harming her.

Answer: Jewels and gold

The 'original' boggle ends up dead after he gets on the wrong side of Niko once too often, but his mate has a young brood of baby boggles to support and is willing to be 'bought off' with jewels and 'shiny stuff'.

Answer: Seeing the future

Georgina, (George for short) is a true seer, but she refuses to tell Cal what she sees for them, if they were to have a relationship.
Cal loves her deeply, but is afraid for her, and also doesn't want to risk fathering a child with anyone. He takes Delilah as a lover, knowing that this will make George stop trying to force the issue between him and her, and vows never to see her again to keep her safe from his enemies.
