1. Who was Cornelia reincarnated as in 'God's Concubine'?

Answer: Caela

In the first novel, 'Hades' Daughter', Cornelia was a spoilt brat who was forced to be the wife of the Trojan, Brutus. Eventually she is chosen by Mother Mag, the goddess of Langarlia, to be her successor. The reincarnation was Genvissa's fault. But that is another story.

2. Harold is Og Reborn.

Answer: False

At this point no one is certain who will be Og Reborn. That is told in the third novel, 'Darkwitch Rising'. Caela has already been revealed as being Mag Reborn. Harold is the Land Reborn.

3. How did Cornelia's father die?

Answer: He is swallowed by the city

When the darkness inside the labyrinth is released, it begins attacking everyone in the city except the Trojans. Cornelia is not a Trojan, however, by this point she is carrying the Trojan Brutus' child, allowing her to escape. She sees her father being swallowed into the walls of the palace. This makes her hate the Trojans even more.

4. Caela is married to Edward the Confessor.

Answer: True

Being married to this king gave poor Caela the nickname "God's Concubine", much to Lady Swanne's amusement.

5. Who are Coel and Brutus reincarnated as?

Answer: Harold and William

It is quite ironic that these two are reincarnated as two men who will eventually fight each other in the battle of Hastings. In the first novel, Brutus murders Coel when he finds out the hard way that Cornelia was having an affair with Coel.

6. Harold is Caela's brother.

Answer: True

If you have been paying attention to these books, you will have found out that Coel (Harold) and Cornelia (Caela) had an affair in 'Hades' Daughter'. It is quite an amusement to Swanne (Genvissa) that these two old lovers were reborn as siblings.

7. Who is Hades' daughter?

Answer: Cornelia

The city in which Cornelia was born in cuts straight through the River Styx. After many failed attempts to kill off the Trojans she is given this nickname. By the end of the first book all the Trojans hate her for a slight misunderstanding - but I'm not going to spoil the books for you.

8. Which God protects Cornelia in 'Hades' Daughter'?

Answer: Hera

Hera is one of the few Greek Gods left. Just before she dies she visits Cornelia and warns her about the Minotaur.

9. Who is the bad guy, Asterion, more commonly known as in Greek Mythology?

Answer: The Minotaur

Asterion is the monster who roamed the labyrinth under Crete. His step-sister was Ariadne, who made a pact with Asterion in order to seek revenge on her lover Theseus.

10. Who are the trio of friends who help protect Cornelia?

Answer: Loth, Erith and Ecub

Loth is an unfortunate inbred son who in his birth weakened the Langarlia gods, Mag and Og. Erith is Coel's mother. Ecub is a kind of holy woman. She is the only character to keep her original name throughout the series.
