Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. I am a Career Tribute who participated in the 74th Hunger Games. Katniss took a bow and arrows from my dead body after my death due to tracker jacker venom. Who am I?

Answer: Glimmer

Glimmer was the female tribute from District 1 in the 74th Hunger Games. It is unknown if she volunteered or was reaped for the games. During the opening moments of the games she killed both the District 5 male and the District 6 female, stabbing both to death. Moments later Cato came to her rescue as the District 6 male was about to impale her with a sword.

She was killed later in the games when Katniss dropped a tracker jacker nest onto a small group she was in.
2. In "Catching Fire" I replaced Cray as Head Peacekeeper of District 12. I am described as being harsh and unforgiving, and ready to enforce the law, no matter what. I burned down the Hob, gave Gale a severe whipping for poaching, and even injured Katniss before an upcoming modeling session. Who am I?

Answer: Romulus Thread

Even though illegal, Peacekeepers were some of Katniss and Gale's best customers of animals they killed in the woods. When Gale went to Cray's home to sell him a turkey he recently killed, he ran into Thread instead. For the crime of poaching, Gale received a brutal whipping, and Thread threatened to kill Katniss if he ever caught her in the woods.
3. My job is to draw the names of the tributes at the Reaping of District 12 and escort the tributes to the Capitol for the games. Who am I?

Answer: Effie Trinket

Effie is known for her upbeat attitude towards the games and the Capitol phrase, "May the odds be ever in your favor!" She tries to encourage the tributes to be excited about being selected, but often in vain. After the escape of three tributes in "Catching Fire", she and the rest of District 12's prep team are arrested and sentenced to death.

She is released after President Snow is overthrown and she returns back to her home.
4. I was the victor of the 70th Hunger Games. Five years later in "Catching Fire" my name was reaped again for the Quarter Quell, but Mags, another victor from my district, volunteered in my place. Who am I?

Answer: Annie Cresta

Annie Cresta was the victor of the 70th Hunger Games representing District 4. During those games she witnessed the beheading of her district partner, which drove her insane. She broke away from her pack of careers and hid the rest of the games. A large earthquake flooded the entire arena, and Annie, the best swimmer of all the tributes was the sole survivor.

She went on to marry Finnick and they had one child together.
5. The 74th Hunger Games was my third games as Head Game maker. At the end of "The Hunger Games" I allowed both Katniss and Peeta to win after they both threatened suicide, choosing to have two victors rather then none. In "Catching Fire" it is revealed that I was executed for this decision. Who am I?

Answer: Seneca Crane

Even though Seneca Crane is prominent in "The Hunger Games" movie, he is never mentioned by name in the novel. In "Catching Fire" when Katniss and President Snow meet, Snow tells Katniss about Seneca's death as a sign of power and a threat toward her and her loved ones. Later when the tributes are being evaluated for the Quarter Quell, Katniss hangs a dummy with a noose and writes "Seneca Crane" across the chest.
6. I am a genetically-altered creature, created by the Capitol, called a Tracker Jacker. I am designed to attack and track anyone or anything that disturbs my nest. Which of these animals am I most closely related to?

Answer: Yellow Jacket

Tracker Jackers were engineered to be used as a weapon during the war and planted around the districts of Panem. Their venom is extremely poisonous; most people can't survive more than a few stings and those who do survive suffer severe hallucinations. In "The Hunger Games" Tracker Jackers killed both Glimmer and the girl from District 4 and left Katniss in a coma for three days.
7. In "Catching Fire" I was a tribute from District 11 in the Quarter Quell. During those games I was well into my 60s and was killed on Day One. Who am I?

Answer: Seeder

Katniss took to Seeder when she assured her that Thresh and Rue's families were safe while on her victory parade. She also ate lunch with Katniss during training for the games. Katniss wanted her as an ally in the games before deciding against it; she didn't want to get close to anyone in case she had to kill them in the games.
8. I am the head trainer for the Hunger Games. My job is to explain the possible ways to die in the arena, what each training station is for and to get the tributes in shape for the games. Who am I?

Answer: Atala

Atala is mentioned in both "The Hunger Games" and "Catching Fire". She is described as being tall and athletic. In the movie "The Hunger Games" she is seen breaking up the fight between Cato and the boy from District 6 over a knife actually taken by Rue.
9. I am a female tribute from District 2. I am the victor of the 62nd Hunger Games and in "Catching Fire" was reaped to compete in the 75th Hunger Games. I was one of the six survivors and one of the three picked up by the Capital's hovercraft. In "Mockingjay" I was set free by the Capital.

Answer: Enobaria

In "Catching Fire", Enobaria was an enemy of Katniss throughout the Quarter Quell. In "Mockingjay", she joined the rebel cause and her life was spared because of the deal between Katniss and Coin. At President Snow's execution, all living tributes returned to the Capitol to vote if one more Hunger Games should take place using only Capitol children. Enobaria voted yes, stating "Let them have a taste of their own medicine."
10. I sell bowls of soup at the Hob in District 12. In "The Hunger Games" I buy wild dog meat from Katniss and Gale when no one else will. In "Catching Fire" it was revealed that I started up a collection to help sponsor Katniss and Peeta during the games. And in "Mockingjay" I was a cook in the kitchen of District 13, and after the war was one of the few to return to District 12...If you are having trouble remembering my name, go back and take the first letter of all your answers. It will spell it out for you. Who am I?

Answer: Greasy Sae

In the movie "The Hunger Games", a woman working in the Hob, presumed to be Greasy Sae, is the one who gives Katniss the Mockingjay pin that becomes the symbol of the revolution. In the book it was given to Katniss by Madge. In "Mockingjay", after Katniss returns back to District 12 after the war, Greasy Sae comes over every morning and evening to cook for Katniss and do light housework with her granddaughter.
