This is my all-time favorite movie, so if you haven't seen it, look out for it online, on cable, or at the video store. Just remember to have a box of tissues handy!

The film begins with the three in a bar preparing to become soldiers. The middle of the film sees them in action in Vietnam. A beautifully made film but not for the faint-hearted.
