Josephus claimed to be a Jew because he heard that the lions at the Coliseum only ate Christians. When performing his Ethiopian sand dance, Josephus said that he came from Ethiopia.

The horse's name was Miracle. Miriam and Comicus saved Miracle from her owner when her owner was whipping her. Miracle always happened to be around when the main characters needed a quick getaway.
Miriam: "Only a Miracle can save us now."

Answer: Chess

In the beginning of the French Revolution scene, King Louis was playing human chess. Eventually, every piece jumped the queen along with King Louis himself.

This musical scene included dancing monks, singing prisoners, and synchronized swimming nuns. They were singing while trying to convert the Jews and Muslims to Christianity. It's my favorite scene in the entire movie!

Madam DeFarge was a hilarious character that was played by Cloris Leachman. She knitted continuously throughout her scenes. In this scene, she was sitting in a bar with the "scum of Paris" after watching people on the streets.

Brooks played five roles: Moses, Comicus, Torquemada, Jacques, and King Louis XVI. Moses was a short cameo in which he dropped the third commandment tablet, making only ten commandments. Comicus was the main character in the Roman Empire scene. Torquemada was the grand inquisitor of the Spanish Inquisition. King Louis was the king during the French Revolution. Mel Brooks had a cameo in every movie he produced. Brooks also appeared in "Blazing Saddles" (1974) and "Spaceballs" (1987).

This depicted the first artist ever, followed by the first ever art critic. The critic did not like the horse painting very much. The artist acted upset and his friends patted him on the back.
